This may occur if your drivers do not supportOpenGL 2.0'To resolve this I goan through other develoer community sites- suggested me to update graphics drivers which support OpenGL 2.0.Trying to do so, I am not able to find out drivers so far now. Thanks Andrew, but the reality is-Workiing on Xamarin Android Player(android Emulators App) and trying to Start any Emulator Getting Following error- 'Failed to initialize OpenGL render Process. I did upgrade from 1.3 to 5.02, and the performance enhancement has been impressive (attached picture, before on the left, after on the right side of the graphic, using ATTO)! I've also didn't get any more "freezes/hangs" when login into windows as I did in the past.Simply go to /support/drivers-software,either use the intel-update utility,or browse manual, locate the download menu, select chipset software, download the graphics accelerator softwarefor the pc.Also install the to chipset software v1.1.43.0These installations get the pc & OS configured.Youre next install, would be Direct X 2010 redistributablefrom microsoft.Simply download it,open to a new folder that you created, open folder, scroll to the.exefile,it'll run auto.Plus, update C. Then you have to reboot, and you'll be all set to retry to update your drive's BIOS. One should be the "Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA" driver, that is Microsoft's. You will be shown the option to automatically search for the driver, or "Search the driver in your computer", select the last option, then in the next page, select "Choose from a list of device drivers" ( sorry for the poor translation but I have the OS in Spanish :)), and you will be presented with the available options. This is done easily by going to System Properties -> Device Manager, then select the "AMD SATA Controller" driver under the ATA/SATA controller group, and right clicking on "AMD SATA Controller", selecting "Update Driver" there. Folks, I had the same problem as you did, and fixed it by turning back to the default Microsoft AHCI Controler.
